No. Are you a Bryn Mawr parent?

That would be one way to get rid of the Coach.

Actually, the last place team in the A conference does get moved down. It is in all sports not just lacrosse. They can appeal it but GFS got moved down for that reason.

The winner of the B conference moves up ... Mercy last year. MDS could have been moved up (they won the championship game while Mercy had the best league record) but it seems they opted to stay in the B. If they had moved up, GCS would have been moved down also.

It was a change to the rules in 2024 I think and is in the handbook.

2025 - 2026 Policies & Procedures38
CONFERENCE REALIGNMENT
The IAAM has adopted a promotion and relegation model for conference alignment. One team will
be promoted, and one team will be relegated in each conference, at the end of each season. The teams
promoted will be based on best league record. The teams relegated will be based on the weakest league
record.
Note: If the team with the best record does not win the post-season tournament, the committee may opt
to promote both the league winner and the tournament winner, thus relegating two teams down.
Note: Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field and Swimming will solely be based on post-season championship
results.
Timeline: Beginning with the Fall 2024’s post-season, teams will be promoted and relegated, as described
above, for implementation in the 2025-26 Academic Year.

It really is amazing the difference a coach can make. Under Brooke Matthews, BM was more competitive each year and bringing talented freshman. Current coach was hired on an emergency basis, has done worse each year as Matthew’s recruits graduate. Still a few high level grown talented girls, but team has gone from on a rapid rise with happy players to the reverse in record time.

Any clue yet who will replace Reese at Maryvale? Is anyone even interested?

One rumor is the former RPCS coach (currently the offensive coach at McD) applied

Didn’t see SPSG beating Spalding.

Have heard they have quite a few applicants, including the one mentioned above.

One dark horse rumor is now former UMBC men’s coach, makes sense on a few levels.

There were signs and if that game was week 1, no one bats an eye.

Another slugfest in this league, anyone outside of Maryvale can lose any game

Should make the McD vs Spalding game next week interesting

Thank you. Didn’t know they recently formalized the process. Do you know the yellow card rules for permanent man-down v unreleasable? I think the handbook refers to NFHSL/USA for that. How many team yellow cards does it take to be man-down for the rest of the game?

Would be a bit of a downgrade for him, unless coaching his own daughter is that important to him.
