| No. I’m poor |
|
55 year old woman who married at 28.
I used to. I haven’t in about 5 years. I never could sleep in rings and always used to take them off as soon as I was home. I WAH now and don’t wear them to the gym or hot yoga or walking, etc…and I don’t anymore to grocery store. I’m not a jewelry person |
| Never take my rings off, married 27 years (same with spouse). My friend is a physical therapist, and he has his wife's name tattooed where a ring would be |
| My husband always wears his. I wear mine most of the time in the winter, but take it off in the summer when I’m exercising outside because my fingers bloat up and I forget to put it back on sometimes. |
No problem! The typical equivalent for women would be a solid gold band and then whatever engagement ring (not necessarily a diamond...) kept in a safe or lockbox and just brought out for more formal occasions. Like it's a joke, the woman with the most expensive and impressive engagement ring generally never wears it because it is impractical and flashy for day. Probably an heirloom. Again, old school, but standard there going back. IYKYK kinda thing. |
Do you think he is getting it somewhere else? |
| My dad never does, and he's been married for decades to my mom. He is a doctor and so not convenient to wear one especially when doing surgery. |
|
Neither of us. Or almost never.
I wear very little jewelry though and I always take it off at night or as soon as I come home. |
| No, we haven’t in many years. |
| For the first 10 years we wore ours all the time. Now we only wear them on dates or vacations. |
I usually but don’t always wear mine, and the only correlation is with how I feel about jewelry generally. Not especially into it. |
| I do when I dress up. I still have baby weight which makes it a bit uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. |
| Most women of my age 40s/50s, in my neighborhood who are married do not but most husbands do. |
|
We wear silicone rings for everyday and especially for travel. I don't wear mine at home, DH is half and half.
We wear our "good" rings for special occasions and holidays. |
| No, due to occupation (law enforcement and firefighting) where a ring can present an injury risk. Safer silicone rings have become available in recent years, but were not around when I got married and I never acquired one. |
