and there's a strong correlation between divorce and women's rights

It was a neutral observation. Your is too, but not necessarily germane.

DH and I have pretty much never worn our rings at the same time with the exception of some date nights.

Early on in our marriage I commuted to work and put my rings on in the morning. He was working in a lab with various equipment and didn’t want to damage the ring or his finger. He also played ultimate and didn’t wear it playing sports.

We moved when he got a different job. I started working from home. I got out of the habit and then I got too heavy to wear my rings. He wasn’t in the lab anymore and wears his ring and hasn’t taken it off in years.

My ring finger is actually in a splint (and I’m glad I wasn’t wearing rings when the injury happened) but I might get my rings resized finally as a “reward” when I’m finally done with this annoying injury.

Pp here. My parents have been married 52 years. They got 2 wedding bands because they liked the double ring ceremony, but my dad said he’d never wear a ring. My mom returned my dad’s ring to the store (!!!) the day after they used it in the ceremony and pretended to be sad when the sales woman told her how sorry she was. I am a sentimental person and have always found this story so crazy. My parents didn’t need the money (but my mom has always said there was just no reason to waste the money either).

I told my DH if he wanted to present as single, I did too. He has worn that ring every day since.

I wear mine always and DW wears her wedding ring but not the engagement ring

Of course has a lot of meaning. Definitely my most prized possession.

Daily. I don't think I've gone a day without wearing it. DH and our parents all wear theirs 100% of the time too.

I have a fake travel ring I wear on vacations.

My husband and I wear ours every day and plan to do so forever. It's the second marriage for both of us. My friends who are docs and artisans got silicone rings to wear to work and wear their gold bands when not working. All the people I knew who intentionally didn't wear a ring are now divorced.

I responded before in the affirmative but I'll add it literally never occurred to me as a man that I'd not wear it.

Ring blackmail wrapped in insecurity.

Is this a DeBeers advert?

We never wear ours. Ever.

Waste of money.

I don’t but do no particular reason. My husband does.

My DH and I have been married for 22 years and we never wear them anymore. We don't need that symbol to trust each other and are united in our dislike for wearing rings.
