Wearing a ring

Some people don't, but most people do.

A lot of men who work the trades (carpenter/mechanic etc) do not for safety reasons so they don't lose a finger.

I do; my husband doesn’t. He needs to get it sized up a little, and he’s never gotten around to it.

We were just talking about this with my cousin and her husband over brunch on Sunday. In their case, he does but she doesn’t. She just doesn’t like wearing rings. (I, on the other hand, will someday be one of those little old ladies with a ring on every finger 😀)

No. The men in my family don't even get them. It's a super old school WASP thing about men not wearing jewelry other than a watch. That's changed some but there are holdouts. I think Prince William either never got or never wears a ring.

My husband always wears his ring and I wear mine when I go outside only.

Some people have one and don't wear it.
And some never had one. Double ring ceremonies are not the law.

No.

Yes everyone we know.

I wear mine when I remember to put it on. Which is about 2/3 of the time.

I don't sleep or shower with it on, so I often forget to put it back.

Husband and I both wear our ring.

Yes. I stopped wearing my gold band when I was working out, because the on/off was physically difficult. Leaving it on was cutting into my hand.

However. I realized that "no ring" is a signal in two situations I am in: the gym and business travel.

So I have one of those gray silicone ones now. Never take it off.

and there's a strong correlation between divorce and women's rights

I had mine cut off last year when it got stuck on and haven't gotten around to repairing it yet.

Now I know why my father never wore his. Thanks.

Always wear my ring. Go camping wearing my ring. Run marathons wearing my ring. Go on multi-day bike camping trips wearing my ring. Gold band, btw, not one of the ones designed for athletic stuff. I wear it in the shower. Slide ring up and down finger to ensure cleaning happens. I did have to resize it. Then kept wearing it.
I'm not bragging. I realize some people might have more sensitive skin. You do you. Just noting that it is possible to be an "always wear" person even if you do the activities others have mentioned.
