The mad house here and the similar thread literally not driving around and look at the entire area situation … they just mad and take this chance to slam for another reason… and i smell alot of political.
Alot of area is not passable by bus to make a turn, alot of street you have to take turn to pass because its is become one lane 2 way, and the most concerning is side walk is dissapear … And all of it is not in school control, and school can be sued for something happen out of their control. |

So if the roads are the same tomorrow, will school continue to be closed?
I can drive my kids to school. I can drive other kids to school who don’t have a ride. I can also acknowledge not everyone is in the same situation. |
| What happens if the bus can’t turn or gets stuck? |
| Teachers should have been working all last week prepping virtual learning to start today. LCPS had their teachers prep *and* they managed to open today. |
It’s 7:50. Kids have not arrived yet. LCPS parents are pretty upset by the opening. Let’s see what happens. |
| Ok. Let the melting begin!!! Oh, wait, it’s only 18 degrees Fahrenheit! Maybe from 2-3pm a drop or two will melt. |
If today is a bust LCPS has a back up option. FCPS has sat twiddling their thumbs and has nothing. |
| If you are comfortable with your kids walking to school or the bus stop, drive them! My kids have been walking around for days as have many kids around town. |
What? |
| We will be home-schooling if they are closed tomorrow. I let the principal know we will be withdrawing if they don't re-open. |
| No melting is going to occur in the 2 hours it's 2 degrees above freezing. Then it's going to snow Tuesday night into Wednesday. Makes more sense to look at Thursday for a reopening. |
Sure you are. |
If my kids don’t have school tomorrow they NEVER get school! Smart. |
Some will stay home. Most will come. The day will proceed. What possible catastrophe do you envision. |
| The sidewalks are too bad to let kids walk around. It would be irresponsible for the school to let kids do that. No matter how much entitled parents just say "uber them in". Every parent who suggests that should uber in 10 disadvantaged students. Stay safe out there folks. |
