That being said, becoming a bit less DEI focused and more welcoming to traditional Republican views (not MAGA views, but old school moderate conservative views) is not a horrible idea and might win her a bit more support. And I say this as a lifelong Democrat.

Old school moderate conservative views don’t exist anymore.

Stop trying to normalize conservatives.

Then dont complain about Trump and MAGA. That is why Trump is sooooo good, he drives the woke insane. Makes me sooooo happy.

I don’t follow your logic, but that’s because there isn’t any. If your only political strategy is to drive your opponents insane with your stupidity, that doesn’t seem good for anyone, including you.

Anyway, an increasing majority of Americans see that Trump is insane/senile/evil/just plain dumb. So enjoy that happiness while it lasts, I guess. The rest of us will be working constructively to get our state and our country back on track.

Back to education not conservative RW stupidity.

The school will thrive.

Your school doesn’t offer free access? My library does.

Test optional is a joke.

As long as you realize it is the governor's prerogative to appoint members to the boards of state colleges and it's not an outrage when a Republican does exactly what a Democrat does (and vice-versa). This seems to need to be explained to you every four years. Same with presidential appointees.

I don't think governors have historically completely cleaned house and made a big thing of it like Youngkin did - it is not apples and apples. It was typical performative childish "stick it to the libs" crap that MAGA specializes in. So she is just restoring things to the way they were.

Dems historically bring a butter knife to a gun fight. Glad they are now growing a pair (and it takes a woman to do so).

And if you don't think Trump's appointees this term were completely vindictive then you are completely brainwashed. Most of his people during his first term were at least somewhat intelligent and qualified. These are just pathetic loser backside kissers who is appointed to get a rise out of the other side. This is a 250 year old country, not a game. But he doesn't care. Because he thinks he is "winning." I wish he would just go away. Move to Greenland.

Look, at least be honest here. Northam appointed almost as many people as Youngkin did - and far more of them were approved than Youngkin’s were.

As of July 10, the General Assembly has rejected 30 of Youngkin’s 3,523 appointments to Virginia’s boards and commissions. That’s in comparison to his predecessor, Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam, who had 10 of his 2,941 appointees blocked by the legislature.

She hasn’t appointed anyone yet. We’re cheering the expulsion of some really bad people.

“Really bad people”? Seek help.

Top Youngkin appointees resign

Spanberger should be able to easily replace them given Dem trifecta

The former CIA officer asserting her control.

Some good news on a Friday night.

Didn’t happen at all. She “asked” some BOV members to resign. They aren’t going anywhere. She did it to make fake news, which apparently you fell for. Everything is very calm and quiet at UVA, where I am tonight. Everyone is glad Ryan is gone and likes the new Prez. There is no news here.

Liar. Sheridan, Wilkinson and Manning resigned, and very few people are glad Ryan is gone.

MAGA gonna lie.

Manning was colluding with the DOJ.

He made an enormous donation, got out on the board, and then worked from the inside to take the school down.

Jim Ryan was extraordinarily popular. People were very upset about him being pushed out.

Actually, they weren’t at all. Not fir the last 18 months.

If these board members hypothetically got their kid in plus 2 of their best friends kids in would this have an impact on that hypothetically?

NP. Yes, I also that that PP made no sense. Agree with all of this. Just wish those who are figuring out Trump's recklessness, greed and insanity had paid attention during the campaign. He was pretty clear about his intent to abuse his authority for his own gain. So much disruption, chaos, waste and abuse because people backed a bully. Sigh. So glad Spanberger is trying to correct the indoctrination and let UVA deal in education.
