OMG what totalitarian hellhole would ban children from area they don't need to be that have been prone to your violence.
Oh, the DC government would? https://mpdc.dc.gov/page/dc-curfew-law |
Lol, probably. |
Trump Did this fool Maga cult of stupidity Stopping Americans going to a hockey game is on Trump! |
Pretty common in shopping malls, which Union Station basically is. They were not banned from the Metro. |
And, yet, crime is way down on the Hill. The residents are loving it! |
thanks obama /s |
| Of all of the idiotic things they have done in DC this bothers me so much. I am at the Union Station daily (take the MARC train). The teens I see there are usually Gonzaga kids and they have never bothered me. They are NOT the problem. I do see adults evading metro fares all the time, though. |
| Groups of teens make trouble. They are trying to keep Union Station safe for travelers. |
|
The comment about keeping travelers safe from groups of teens is sickening. Or atr you targeting teens with brown and black skin?
As a reminder - the national guard is NOT domestic law enforcement. Let’s not forget this. It is a terrible that they have been permitted to harass and intimidate people in DC with the rifles on their backs as we move around trying to conduct our daily lives. And terrible that anyone on this board thinks that is okay. |
Counterpoint: the only time the metro is at all bad is 3:30 at school release and it’s all teens getting into it. If they didn’t assault random people waiting in line at raising cane’s, there wouldn’t be a broad swell of approval for keeping kids out of the mall and food court. I don’t want it to be National guard, but I’m ok with MPD breathing down their necks. It’s the least we can ask for given how much money gets spent on these kids. It shouldn’t be offensive to ask them to behave, and monitor them when they don’t, it’s part of the social contract. |

My teens go to different schools (one DCPS one private) and on the day in question, yeah, they just used the exterior escalator that allows direct street -metro access. My daughter said she thinks there was a specific incident that day that lead to the ban. It’s not all the time. Friday after school a kid from Latin apparently tried to pick a fight with my other kid. So they are typically allowing teens and yes, I’m happy for them not to be allowed to roam in groups there.
Other stores limit teens. There is a local shop nearby that only allows one student at a time. For the poster worried about how their kid will get to Gonzaga - he will take the exterior escalator and walk the few blocks to campus. |
I hope this a MAGA satire attempt and not an illiterate idiot leftist. |
Why are you stating facts, this is intended to bash Trump for being the root cause of all DC problems. |
| My daughter experienced this as well and only wanted to get food from Canes. |
| This has evidently either been revived or stepped up as of today. I had warned my son when this thread first started and he hasn't had issues. Today was a different story and he had to walk all the way around from the exit he usually takes to exit. Anyone else's kid deal with this today or lately? Its ridiculous! |
