Union Station: Student prevented access?

You can access the Metro without entering the station. Does he take Maryland commuter rail or something? Amtrak? Does he NEED to get into the station?

I just googled and stumbled on a reddit post from this afternoon from someone who saw minors getting stopped there. No good explanation though.

National Guard is now stopping everyone at Union Station for ID.
I told them to go screw themselves. No badge, no warrant, no uniform = no lawful authority. Administrative warrants (I-200, I-205) do not authorize searches, arrests, or detentions in public space. They had no probable cause to ask. I understand for a minor this would be hard. Thanks Maga stupids. |

What’s the scenario here? Special ops at Union station that’s specially dangerous for developing bodies? Should they have stopped pregnant women as well? None of this makes sense. |
