Are they not letting kids get *off* the metro on their way back from school? WTF? Some pretty young kids take the metro to Latin.

They are blocking access into the Union Station building. So kids can still take the outdoor escalator up and down to the metro itself. It’s completely arbitrary and I hope it ends soon.

I get on metro at Union Station and there were numerous police and NG inside the station and on the platform when I got there right around 5 today. I didn’t see any kids around, which is rather unusual.

I googled it said "targeted ticket check" because of rowdy groups of teens and fighting in Union Station.

Very specifically, some people got assaulted at the food court by some kids this past week.
