If you believe in women’s independence while also believing abortion should be illegal then you’re lying to yourself. It’s part of healthcare. |
You have to start somewhere. GOP has been taking over states since the 70’s. Dems stopped completing in state elections when Obama won. They only have themselves to blame (I’m a liberal). Thankfully there’s organizations like Run For Something training and promoting young progressives running state and local elections. One of their candidates flipped a 70+ Trump seat in 2025. 2026 Dems will break supermajority’s in MO, shore up majority in PA and maybe flip Texas state house. Look up the organization and donate or volunteer. |
But that affects men as well, right? |
I'm reading the data and data definitions. You need to do the same. It is just as powerful to say that some military women who are victims of rape will not have access to abortion whether through their provider or within driving distance with another provider not part of their insurance, whether this is 1 military woman or 8,000. You need to become literate in reading data. This will serve you better in the long run. If you have access to data of men on women rape in the military (because this matters for your argument), gaps in reporting, rate of rape at installations and location of those installations, laws governing abortion at those locations and, if needed, in nearby states, you can determine the number of military women affected by this memo. This is the point of your post. If you want to talk about the high rates of sexual assault in the military, that is another topic. It is a worthy topic, just as your original topic is. Once you have determined the total number of women affected, then you can develop a policy to limit that impact. |
Americans need to say enough... |
Just stop.....your body is yours and mine is mine. You don't get a say. If you can read past that without getting upset then we can talk. If not you are nothing but a close minded MAGA. Let me explain it in simple terms.....if someone needs or wants an abortion they should have that right-It's their body. If you or someone else does not believe in abortion you or someone else should stick to your beliefs and never do that but you DO NOT get to decide about someone else's body and if you are a woman it should disgust you that "men" in office who prove every day that they are not true christians are trying to control women and their bodies. You either believe in women having choices or you don't. Because first it's abortion but soon it will be your right to vote your right to work your right to own property. Open your eyes. You do you and others should be able to make their own choices that is what having rights means. I wonder how many abortions Epstein and trump and Bannon have paid for in last year.....things that make you go hmmmmmmm. They are such good "christians"

They believe their wives should vote because they follow the "mans lead" I had a friend like this it made we want to vomit. Read the story about North Carolina letting husbands and wives vote in the same booth....we all know why they wanted that and if you don't pull your head out of the sand. Also read abut Pete Hegseths church and his disgusting pastor Doug Wilson. He believes women belong in the kitchen answering to men. His hope and work is centered around making America white and male again. Seriously if you have time search Doug Wilson. |
+1 signed a labor and delivery nurse. |
Apparently, STATES do get to decide per the Supreme Court ruling. BTW, you had abortion to the first trimester. But then you had to keep pushing it out to the 9th month on demand, and play games to make sure the tax payer fund it. See the Hyde amendment. it's very real. We wouldn't be here if you hadn't kept pushing to get your way. |
It’s nothing more than the most pathetic DEI. “Wah, we can’t compete with brown people and women of all colors! It’s too hard to be smart! I’m going to stamp my little feet until they can’t vote!” |
That is just not true. Abortion was largely banned everywhere with very limited exceptions before Roe v Wade. Before 1973, there was no first trimester exception for the majority of states. It was almost entirely dependent on whether your (usually) male doctor felt that the risk of you dying was too high for them to be comfortable with. You are just intentionally making things up or are not knowledgable about what the situation was like before 1973. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Map_of_US_abortion_laws_pre-1973.svg |
That’s a made up problem, and you are a complete mark for buying into it, but lets make a deal. We investigate that when you deal with your demented and corrupt child rapist in office. Deal? Seems weird that to support pedophiles and traitors be cause you got tricked into histrionics over nothing, but it is what it is. |
I said you had abortion to the first Trimester. YOU felt you had to somehow twist it with adding a year. Roe vs. Wade existed. Do not add words and then attribute them to me. |

+1 Hegseth is batsh*t crazy along with his ridiculous church run by Doug Wilson. |
