19 and 14 year old boys - gift ideas besides clothing?

They are never excited about gifts but the treats, they seem to be happy with (Harry and David treats, Costco treats), they say "yum! thank you!"

My 12 year old said “noo” to this.

Mine both asked for it.

He likes to garden, so he's getting an indoor herb garden. He still likes Legos (even though not as much as he used to), so he'll probably get a Lego technic model car set. Last year for his birthday and Christmas, he received expensive equipment for his sport and a mountain bike and a giant bean bag chair for his bedroom. Other interest-based gifts could include kitchen/cooking gadgets, cookbooks, nice drawing pens/sketchpad, etc. Other things he's asked for are a gaming chair (and an electric scooter, although that's a hard no).

PP here. We also always give books. If we can't think of something new that we think he'd like in terms of novels, we look for a cool coffee table book in an area of interest.

Coffee table books for teen boys are great as pizza box coasters.

I'm thinking gift cards to mall food places, maybe a new tackle box (want), and a hoodie of his favorite team ( wear).

Plus need=socks&underwear and a book to read.

Any ideas for a 14 yo who is a reluctant but advanced reader? His reading level consistently measures at college level but he doesn't really enjoy reading for fun.

Project Hail Mary! My teen sons (and my husband and I) loved this book.

Guitar accessories. Sports accessories. Theater and concert tickets.

A new comforter. Jibbitz. A makeup mirror. Crafts kits. Fidgets. Owala. Gift cards because she is super super picky.

Ask for a list - mine has a running wish list with links. I don't consider half those things gifts.

In addition to what’s been listed, mine asked for a silent basketball or a silent football. They have them at Dick’s Sporting Goods.

I recently got my 15 and 18 yo old gym memberships to a really cheap gym and they are both using it a lot to lift. They had been asking for a while.

The obvious answer is not to give this teen any books. At this age if he doesn’t enjoy reading for fun then books would be a bad present. It’s okay. Accept it. I don’t enjoy reading for pleasure and am an educated adult with two masters degrees. I don’t read for enjoyment. I read Harry Potter with to my kid over a decade ago. That was the last novel I picked up.

+1 for Project Hail Mary if your boys like to read. Coming out as a movie soon.

Theragun or similar was a huge hit last year.
