Guy here. I’ve been in the position to a few times and turned it down every time. I can’t imagine cheating (well, I can but I won’t) on my best friend. Also, we’re a very close knit family and it would wreck what our kid thinks of me. I haven’t had a bj in over 10 years and probably never will again in my life, it sucks (or rather doesn’t) but ai’ll never cheat.

This thread has renewed my faith in DCUM guys but now I’m going to ruin it.

A couple years ago an attractive woman in a hotel bar asked me to her room and I, who had never thought of cheating, said yes. About five minutes in I had a crisis of conscience and called it off. She was surprisingly ok with it. I’ve been kicking myself ever since. If there’s ever a next time, I’m going through with it and tbh I don’t think DW would even mind that much.

That was my point from above — 0.00% doesn’t exist in reality. It is certainly true that most men would succumb to temptation if Sydney Sweeney rolled up on them in a hotel bar while on the road, I mean none of us are made of stone. But I think a lot more guys than you think would remain faithful under any scenario likely to occur as a practical matter.

I used to not believe that, but now at 55, I agree with you. Since I turned 50- the sheer number of men I now know have cheated in their marriages—-neighbors, co-workers, friends’ spouses, acquaintances is huge AND some of these guys you just never ever would have suspected for numerous reasons. A few totally shocked me.
