None. Just fascist threats and abuse of power. |
It has nothing to do with Kirk. It has to do with Republicans imposing their will on DC “because they can“. Even the stupidest ideas need to get pushed back on. Congress currently has something like 25 riders on appropriations with calling for things like removing the no right turn on red law that just passed to changing names for Kirk and even Cuba! Even if you like some of the proposals, it is up to DC’s government not Congress. That’s the whole point of these proposals. To strip power from Washington DC and make us an occupation of the federal government. |
| I suppose this is his way of pay back for BLM street painting. |
+1 |
| Can we start a petition to rename the street on which Sen. Scott lives "Medicare Fraud Way"? |
he's embracing his inner klansman |
hahaha thanks for this |
| I get that it’s meant to be a poke in the eye but the best thing would just be to say yes and ignore it, it will quietly expire or whatever and not be a big deal if no one makes it into one. |
| Why would they name anything after a podcaster and provocateur? It isn’t like Charlie Kirk was an important person. |
| Charlie Kirk is more worthy of a public space than Mammie Peanut Johnson. |
He's worthy of having a public dumpster named after him. |
Yeah but neither was George Floyd or Trayvon Martin. I'm a liberal, I'm just saying that this kind of martyr stuff isn't new or exclusive to one or another political party. He wasn't that important before, I mean I hadn't heard anything about him in years and I follow the news reasonably closely. It's that/the way he was killed. And it's not weird or surprising, because it's something people do. |
OK. We don't have any streets named after them so...stupid "both sides" point from a "liberal". |
| Rick Scott can go pound sand |
No. This has never worked. Ever. You can’t ignore fascism. |
