It’s fine if you didn’t agree with BLM plaza. But that was DCs decision. This is about the federal government imposing their will on DC. So now you are OK with federal overreach?
You’re aware that the Constitution mandates DC is under federal jurisdiction, yes? I don’t care one way or another about the Charlie Kirk renaming, but it gets old when DC residents pretend they’re somehow not a federal jurisdiction.
You're aware that Republicans once believed local governments knew best and the federal government should stay out of their business, yes? It gets old when Republicans remind us time and time again that they have no principles beyond exerting power over those they don't like.
Do you live in DC? I'm afraid you really didn't do your due diligence if you think DC isn't under the jurisdiction of the federal government. Of course the federal government should stay out of states' business. DC is not a state, for the millionth time.
Congratulations on missing the point in spectacular fashion. You are either incredibly dumb or very convincingly pretending to be.
DP. What is your point? DC is a federal district. It can’t just do what it wants. Even any “home rule” is very new relative to DC’s entire history.
Here's my original post.

Reread it again, very slowly. Take your time! Sometimes, saying it out loud helps with comprehension. I'll even give you a hint: DC's status as a federal district is completely irrelevant!
