Yes, bozo, Central Texas is prone to flash flooding.

But this event is more intense than usual:

"More than an entire summer’s worth of rain fell in some spots in just a few hours"

Was this climate change or was it too early in time? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_1921_San_Antonio_floods

Stick your fingers in your ears. Stick out your tongue and say la la la la. Cancel all the science research to look into the phenomenons. Fire everyone at the weather service get rid of our ability to warn and predict and understand. Doesn't change what's happening at all. It it is coming for you and me. It's coming for our children

Yeah, I said none of that. So we have that. I am stating the reality that the entire thread basis is dumb - constantly referring to everything as climate change related is moronic. Likewise moronic is to then write up a low energy thread entitled “Red States and Climate Change”

Unprecedented and alarming precipitation rates is not referring to everything. It's referring to unprecedented and alarming precipitation rates.

I think you need to go look up the term unprecedented and the history of flooding in the area.

Look you don't need to listen to some anonymous moron on dcum to be concerned about what is happening to weather patterns in Texas and many other places. The insurance companies are on it. The United States military is on it.

We used to try to have a public service weather service on it to help protect citizens and we voted to get rid of that. But the insurance company's business depends on it. So they are well aware that changes are happening and more changes are coming.

I guess understanding climate is a waste of money.

I bet Ted Cruz is happy. Did he go to Cancun?

Climate change only happens in blue states

It is not funny or a joke. It is contributing to life threatening catastrophes and that will only continue and worsen.

FFS, this is happening in Texas. Who is President? Trump. Who controls the government? Trump and the Republicans. Who controls state government? Greg Abbott andRepublicans. If there’s “geoengineering” or or some kind of weather engineering happening then it’s Republicans doing it.

DP.. certainly there have been prior instances of catastrophic flooding in central Texas, but what’s remarkable is that three of the four similar instances in all of recorded history for the area all happened in just the last 25 years. It’s long past time to keep pretending this is all normal.

FFS only two posters in this entire thread have even expressed concern about the missing. You all suck!

You just suck in general. I care for all missing people, whether swept away by a flood or dissappeared by ICE.

You don't

In my opinion, you suck

Anonymous
Those disappeared by ICE deserve it and I hope tens of thousands more are disappeared.

I care about Americans, first and foremost.

Deal with it.
