This is what happens when one party sows hatred. This was so incredibly avoidable and yet inevitable at the same time. The Republican party sows hatred, plain and simple. I don’t care what anyone replies. I’m sick to death of this crap that led us to this. No one, literally no one, should die for being a member of a political party.

More details:

During a press conference, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety said at about 2 a.m., officers were responding to a call of a shooting at the home of Sen. Hoffman.

While responding, they were asked to check on Hortman’s house. When they arrived, they saw an SUV equipped with lights, mimicking a squad vehicle, and were confronted by a man dressed as an officer. DPS reported the man fired at police, who returned fire, before retreating into the home.

Walz called the shootings a targeted attack. Minnesota DPS reported they found a manifesto while searching the suspect’s vehicle that had a list of other state lawmakers.

“This was an act of targeted political violence,” Walz said.
