I offered my college aged daughter a glass of wine last night with dinner and she gave me such a dirty look. She's not a drinker (I don't drink much myself), but said wine would be her last drink of choice. It's for old people.

I’m not a big drinker. Dh drinks a bourbon once a week or so. We don’t eat out a lot, but I don’t judge other people who do, it’s just what we prefer and fits in our budget better.

We haven’t given our teens alcohol yet. Dh is very much against it. I’m not sure it ultimately has an affect on their future intake. Like others have said, siblings in the same family have turned out differently despite the same exposure to alcohol. Therefore I don’t see any reason to give them much while their brain is developing.

Yes, we are French and this is how we educate them on wine. The blends, varietals, terroir, etc.
