Honestly can you talk to your parents & set up an agreement where the subject of politics will be strictly off-limits moving forward?

Is there any way to have a conversation with them to ask them to take a break from FOX news and social media? Could you dare them to take a break for one month? Encourage them to spend their time focused on the "real" world, rather than having this propaganda pumped into their head 24-7? They should develop hobbies, volunteer, join communities and develop friendships that are meaningful and real. I know this is easier said than done, but it just seems like they don't have the ability to think for themselves and instead regurgitate the propaganda.
