I’m sure all your data in Starlink will be safe and secure! Yikes.

Sometimes inequity results in lack of equal protection.

In 2020, my department was temporarily assigned to assist Oklahoma UI. I spoke to many UI applicants living in rural areas. It became apparent that internet access in some rural areas of OK is both expensive and terrible, so that they could not meet online application and reporting requirements reliably. Lack of accessible, reliable internet has a huge impact on access to government agencies.

Yes, this was the same story with electricity. The government often steps in when it is not economically advantageous for private industry to provide services. This is why I’m stunned that rural America co-signs the GOP/Heritage Foundation’s plan to minimize the federal government. They would be sitting in the f**ing dark had it not been for the federal government! Private industry is only about money and profit.

Biden insisted on equity at the TVA.

I think you need better sources. Biden wanted to lay down fiber optic cable with union jobs in those rural areas, providing good jobs and a better product for rural communities.

HOWEVER “By the time Biden left office, his administration had just finished approving state proposals, setting the stage for implementation.”

Now, enter the starlink goon who will not employ rural areas to promote his sub-optimal product.

So MAGA hates rural red.

The BEAD program should not have taken this long. The red tape is ridiculous. This is a non partisan position But you don't ditch the program. You fix the bureaucracy.

Poor white MAGAs are convinced they work harder than anyone and everyone else is mooching off of them. That's why they always support cutting government services--even when they are often the primary beneficiaries of the programs being cut.

Equity = making sure poor (white) people have the same access as everyone else. Why do you assume the term has a racial component?

LMAO sure, took too long. Some of us are old enough to remember Trump promising us a "phenomenal" healthcare plan that would cover everyone. That was in March 2016. More than 9 years ago. And where are we with that plan today? "Uhhh I have a concept of a plan" (he has no plan). NINE years later. Biden moved at warp speed in comparison.

Doesn't matter. Want high speed internet, pay for it. I'm all outta cares at this point. You are not entitled.

Now, end the Obama phones next.

Maggots are sickening.

Trump made it seem like Biden spent too much time getting contracts approved for infrastructure projects. He was going to do better.

Ignorance is bliss- if they never knew they would be beneficiaries to begin with, why would they care? It’s like that for a lot of things.

The more government does, the worse things get.

Fire the government. Privatize it all.

Of course Trump is going to do better. But what does that mean to him? It means that he and Elon can make more $$$ on the backs of poor rural communities. Everyone needs to think this through.

No it is your racism that is showing. Living in the DMV the poor people are primarily black and brown.

But those living in the dreaded flyover states see only poor white people. They know exactly who are getting the handouts.

You are not making sense. There are plenty of poor white people in the DMV. There have always been poor white people in this area, but they just get pushed further out into the exurbs. I’m old enough to rennet when Crofton, Jessup, and Manassas is where the poor whites migrated in their attempt to get away from poor Blacks. You have on blinders.
