The feedback portion will be a mess without question. However, expanding into a centralized sports information center beyond soccer could be helpful in time.
You have a list now, try to allow registration, search, and mapping. That way, people can find something closer to them in general. Right now, it is hard to tell where anything is locally to you. Just last winter, I was looking for basketball locally, and as a first-time participant in that sport, it was tricky to find options at the right level. So yes, feedback, but I would not make soccer the central theme; it's way too small. Go for Yelp of sports nationally, allow verified clubs to tie in their socials and respond, and you have something that could work. Good Luck! |
This. They’ve heard everything already. Practically every club vilified here is still thriving. Because every kids experience is going to be different based on skill, talent, goals, parenting, etc. |
You can absolutely post full names here. It became a balancing act so that there aren't too many take down notices, but name and shame. It's a random anonymous site. If your post gets deleted, i bet it helped others |
| I didn’t look at the website, but there should be a criteria for reviewing parents or parent sideline behavior. I think maybe that’ll give some balance. |
| There's already a shortage of good coaches and now they have to worry about being criticized online by some dingbat parent? Yikes. |
| Maybe there should be a feature where the coaches can name and review parents who are PITAs |
Exactly Never let someone else recruit you into battle when its not your war |
You misspelled VRSC. Please get off the booze so early. |
Exactly! Any kid worth something should go to the club with all of the bad reviews. That is probably where the coaches have standards and don’t put up with “too much” parental bulldozing. |

Thanks for building this—really appreciate the effort. I’d recommend taking a look at how platforms like Rate My Professor handle reviews of named individuals, especially when it comes to coaches. As a longtime Yelp fan, I’m rooting for your success.
A few thoughts: *I love the idea that 1-star or 5-star reviews require at least 25 words. That adds substance and cuts down on spam. *Consider adding two dedicated sections that could also open up advertising opportunities: - Private trainers or coaching businesses - Soccer camps Both would bring real value to users and align with your site's mission. *A map feature would be super helpful—similar to Yelp. If I’m relocating, I’d want to browse clubs in a specific area and see what’s nearby. *The homepage feels a bit basic right now. There’s a lot of white space, and the layout could be stronger. I’d recommend hiring a graphic designer to help refine the visual experience. Thanks again for creating this—excited to see where it goes! |

I love this idea and think the hating must be coming from the coaches/team managers in the forum.
-love the map idea - love how individual coaches are listed so you can give the club one score and the individual coach another |
How long until the richest club buys off the website because their feelings get hurt with reviews? Is there anything they can’t buy? that’s exactly the respect players and parents have for those drunk clowns |
It’s not their fault your kid sucks. |
We don't need a flame war between two rival club parents. Besides, I hate all of Loudoun County anyway. Joke Seriously, we're trying to debate whether another "DCUM" needs to exist. |
Guys, the world does not start and end in DC/MD/VA. Maybe there isn't a need here but there is no DCUM in other parts of the country. but there are parents who want to see reviews of clubs and coaches |
