Colorado Transgender Bill Passes House

Good job, trans "women" and allies! Keep trans madness in the news and keep doing your part to expose yourselves as a dangerous threat to civilization.

This is so desperate it is almost unbelievable. Give it up. It was a total myth that trans issues are what swing the election, but bigots like you have to keep bleating so the other side believes it and you cna try to compel them to act differently.

Don't fall for it folks and do not fall for the misrepresentations of what this bill actually does.

DP.
Americans have become less sympathetic to trans issues in recent years, and this bill is exactly the kind of extremism on the left that drives people from the democratic party in a reactionary way. As a democrat, I think it's important to take note so we can start winning elections again. I know I'm not alone.

I know of 2 families who moved from the US to Canada because of their trans kids. One is open to the idea of coming back to a safe space state but the other is 100% against ever coming back.

I don't understand the Right's fascination with trans people. How are they harming them? And don't feed me that BS about safety in bathrooms. No one watches anyone else pee. If men are that insecure then they need to stop making men's bathrooms with urinals. Only have stalled toilets and that takes care of that problem.

I've never felt threatened or scared by a trans or LGBQ person. I have felt scared of a cis white male and been threatened by a few as well.

How much would it cost to renovate every restroom in schools, libraries, and other government buildings? How about private businesses that are open to the public (shopping malls, restaurants, movie theaters, etc.?)

This bill was brought by the left, not the right, so you seem to have it all backwards. The real question is what is the Left's fascination with trans people? This bill seems poised to threaten parental rights in favor of a fringe ideology. It's extreme.

Seriously:

Republicans opposed the bill, saying it infringes on parental rights. State Rep. Jarvis Caldwell called it egregious.

"The idea that misgendering your own child is considered coercive control which is another word for abuse? Child abuse? Because you want to get your child help instead of affirming their delusions? And you can lose custody over your child over that? This is the most disgusting bill I've seen so far," Caldwell said.

So forcing your child to be something they are not - a practice with ultimately results in suicide for 41% of the children subjected to it - is NOT child abuse in your eyes?!?!

Shameful.

The Cass Review report found suicide did not decrease after transition. Suicidal behavior is high prior to blockers/hormones, as well as high after, because there is an underlying mental issue. This mental issue is what is driving suicide.

Similar to an anorexic or someone who identifies as disabled and wants healthy limbs amputated (yes, this is real). There is a mental illness driving behavior.

Also, years ago I was poking around reddit groups for adolescents who wanted advice on obtaining blockers/hormones. The kids were giving tips to claim you are feeling suicidal and then parents and medical providers are more likely to give you the meds to transition. It made my heart sink to see this manipulation.

Ummm, what?! That is very specific and very creepy of you.

I don't think the Right is "fascinated" with trans people. I do, however, think that a significant amount of Americans are concerned that bills like this threaten their parental autonomy. I'm not talking about things like hitting a child or depriving food. The Left and the Right can agree that is, by definition, abuse. But a lot of parents - myself included - want to work out/resolve/process issues of gender identity with our children without the influence of third parties with an agenda. I'm not anti-trans in the least, but parents should have parental autonomy on stuff like this, and proposed bills like this one go too far IMHO.

+1 weirdo. Exhibit A “The Right’s obsession with the trans community.”

I see you putting moderates in scare quotes. Why don't you get out of your echo chamber and find out?

If normalizing the fetishistic transgressing of some of the worst male predators imaginable, allowing them to run amok in women and girls' spaces, and sterilizing young girls suffering from internalized misogyny is the price to pay for stopping Trump, then I say f**k it. Let Trump take down the nation. It damn sure isn't worth saving when degenerates like that nasty judge who put a male serial rapist in women's prison, where he raped more women, are supposed to be our heroes.

It can’t be that many. Someone in the other thread is insisting there are only five trans athletes so there is no risk to female sports from inclusion.

I’m completely confused by the left’s fascination here. This comes from the left.
