We visited Columbus for the first time last week and loved it. That said, if more kids want to follow the trend towards UGA, the better for my kid! Less competition! |
First try to catch up with Ohio State before you can even begin to take on Texas, Let alone UVA and UNC. Michigan, along with UCB and UCLA, are tiers above UGA. |
LOL that is not the way to look at grad school Univ of GA no question |
|
UGA isn’t even a member of the AAU! There are 61 members of this most prestigious organization. All of the Big Ten Schools, including OSU are members with the exception of Nebraska. Only Florida, Missouri, TAM, and Vanderbilt are in the SEC. Georgia has a long way to go.
|
Why would an undergraduate care? Seriously. |
Like it or not people think of UGA more along with Texas, Michigan and catching UVA, UNC. |
Where is OSU and UMN in the ranking. |
| Senior dc is headed to UGA |
I’m talking about real life, not rankings. Try to keep up. |
| I have no dog in this fight but why do the UGA fans on here crap so much on Ohio? |
| “University of” sounds more prestigious than “State U” |
|
| Nobody cares about USNWR rankings anymore. |
| UGA!! So hard to get in. Amazing town people and academics. I have one there now who loves it and my other kid was just rejected. Cannot say enough things about it. Both of mine got into Ohio state. Weather better too and why choose cold and gloomy if you don't have to? |
| Consider the economy of the surrounding region. Atlanta and the Southeast is booming while most of Ohio’s major cities are losing population, industries, etc. that being said, one can live a good life in Ohio (affordable housing, good schools). You kid will be fine at either one. |
