Oy vey, I’d rather be buzzed than obese. This is just displacing alcohol for sweets, carbs, and fats.

Ok ok we get it. I also wouldn't make these drinks, but let people suggest all sorts of suggestions and then you decide if you want to drink them or not. We are nice on the food forum

(and I do have those hot apple cider pouches deeeep in the pantry for the kids. I cut them with more water but they are sugar bombs just like cocoa! They have them on a snow day or after skiing)

My husband and I both love the Heineken zeros. I also got some non alcoholic wines at MOM’s that don’t taste like wine, but they are refreshing and only 35 calories.

I also freeze cubes of cranberry juice with an orange peel and sprig of rosemary and drop them into a seltzer.

Everyone else’s suggestions are sugar waters and “sugar free” carb water which destroy your teeth and stomach.

I drink sparkling water and it's fine. My dentist said my teeth look great, my stomach is fine.

Still water and tap water are basically the same thing.

I like Health-aid kombucha citrus for this purpose. Sometimes I pour it into a champagne glass or a martini glass. I never drink more than 4 to 6 ounces and only in the evening before dinner in place of a cocktail.

It has completely worked for me as a replacement to my one glass of white wine a day habit.

"Luxury water" is the dumbest suggestion by far. It's just water.

I like diet tonic with a slice of lemon or lime squeezed in. I do not care about its relative healthfulness, but I've never gotten malaria so it's not the worst.

Flavored or plain seltzer with some muddled berries and a squeeze of lime or lemon. In summer when my mint is growing out of control I throw that in too.

Brewed teabags, cooled into iced tea.

A fancy ice cube or fresh fruit makes anything feel fancy.

Your dentist is lying to you if he or she tells you soda water and citric ACID doesn’t erode your teeth.

And you’re lying to yourself if you think tap water is the same as luxury still water. Tap water is full of chlorine, fluoride, and likely lead, bacterias, hard chemicals, traces of prescription drugs, and PFAS.

My husband and I started drinking Kava a few times a week in replacement to booze. It is a bit buzzy/takes the edge off.
