What examples do you have that Canadians are not nice? |
Just pretend to be Canadian
If someone suspects something, show them a picture of your moose and your goose |
I grew up in Canada and have lived in DC for about 15 years. My parents were going to come visit this year but have changed their mind. Sure you’ll be safe but they are understandably pissed with our dear leader and his cult of American First. |
Why wouldn't they be? |
And geese. Don't refer to Canada as the 51st State. Stay away from places with high crime and you should be OK. Google should be able to fill you in on the worst places for crime. |
Actually if you have any of that you may not be welcome. Otherwise come and visit, buy Canadian products and enjoy yourself. |
Thank you |
Yes, and they can ask for asylum! |
No. |
The Canadians I know are pretty angry.
Most of the rest of the world is appalled and angry at the US right now, so it won't be that much better in other places either. |
Op
I just saw a post on FB (Meanwhile in Canada) suggesting people be extra nice to US visitors, you are escaping hell and supporting our economy. I really don't think you're going to have an issue. Why would MAGAs come to Canada? They don't think we have anything to offer. Enjoy your travels. |
I travel to Canada for business and pleasure, and I don’t see how anyone can tell the difference between an American and a Canadian. |
Accent? Attitude? They may share skin color but they're not homogeneous. |
Same. |
Eh, when I’m in Toronto and Ottawa I don’t notice an accent among locals. It’s a mixed bag in Montreal—plenty don’t have accents and speak English. And plenty of Canadians are tourists in the local hotels and area restaurants. |
