I was there. Some of the MLS Next teams must have had most of their players committed already therefore only played their subs. The results don't mean anything. It was the event that drew the most elite school coaches in my experience. If only my son didn't get sick last week.

If the score in that game was 31:0 it doesn't change the fact that the MLS Next is the top tier boys league in the country.

MLSN is so top tier that none of their scores matter. They only play subs, and don’t take any teams from other leagues seriously. They are so top tier.

MLS Next is so good that their teams can sign up and pay to go to shitty Delaware and play teams from a lesser league and lose, and it doesn’t even mean anything to the kids or parents. There is no league like it in the world.

If you didn't falsely prop-up ecnl to be actually elite in your mind, it wouldn't be so difficult to accept the league of the professional club academies is the superior top tier league in this country.

If a minor league baseball team beats the Red Sox in preseason preparation, does that mean Major League Baseball isn't the superior league?

I have no hat, ENCL or otherwise, in this argument, my take is that the MLS academies are generally free and attract the kids with the talent and desire to go pro, plus kids on the bubble who serve as fodder to make sure there are other kids to play with. They do seriously not care that much about winning or losing in the younger age groups. Really!

Then, because the country is huge and spread out and you can't fly to everything all the time they put together a league. In the league are the clubs that bear the badge but aren't academies and who do, desperately, care about winning.

Could you ever, in your little brain, ever imagine that maybe the ECNL teams alto play their backups and play people out of position when they are playing against an MLS team. And then imagine that even though the ECNL is also not taking the game seriously, they could still beat an MLS team. Cuz that is what is actually happening.

Lot of butthurt ECNL dads in here. MLSN > ECNL. Doesn't matter if every ECNL teams beat every MLSN teams. MLSNext is the top league in the US. Sorry.

it actually is approaching 50%. Of the mens final 4 only denver had more starting 11 that were from US. Vermont and OSU majority starters are from out of country.
