I've never seen a January pre-season showcase where the real coaches aren't rotating, mixing and matching players and positions to figure out things for the upcoming season |
Honestly, thanks to all the politics involved with club soccer, my DS team (and guessing not alone) gets better when the subs come into the game. So I don't know the point you're trying to make here. Most respectable clubs have brought talent onto the team where the starters vs bench is fairly negligible. You might have a couple of super stars and a couple struggling but once you get to U15 and up...first team players didn't get there by showing up last week. |
I guess it could be a test of team depth although the rotations are not normal. |
| What happened in VDA vs SYC 2008? Website says 11-0 in favor of VDA. |
| Someone fat fingered the 1 button |
VDA beat IFA Next and SYC Next Not sure what the end score was though. |
| I was peeved at the ParkMobile $15/day grift - $30 per car; I think we all lost - to Delaware... |
| Ha! You actually paid! Sucker |
ECNL is the past. MLS is now and the future, just deal with it. |
Hahaha. I’m with you on this one. |
That’s the score. The mighty MLSNext lost by 11 goals to the weak ECNL. |
Has your DS started the recruiting process? Most boys, even MLS next, are not getting recruited. They want the young men from overseas. |
Are you in denial that MLS Next is the top and superior boys league in the country? Why is that so hard to accept? Every country has league tiers. Its no big deal. |
It's not young men, it's 22+ yr old academy washed out men that, correctly, have given up their pro dreams to pursue an education. |
The MLS academies represent the best found talent in the country willing to pursue a pro pathway. Their programs are not designed to win tournaments but instead to actually develop players that they can sell for a profit later on. This concept is wholly alien to the rest of the leagues and even to the non-academy MLSN teams. |
