What happened? We had a B meet with them and they were lamenting having to move up, but they are really down to earth people. Maybe they just don’t fit in with the McLean elite? (Probably a good thing)

Ironically, the McLean parents were welcoming! OKM parent were pompous, wore MAGA tshirts, and tried to tell everyone how much better things had been in their prior division.

All I know is they did not feel they had the depth to move up and enjoyed having more parity of competition in D2. The “MAGA” shirts, puh-lease. They had an eagle on the back of their 2023 championship tshirts. Y’all are nuts. And half (or more) of the team parents are military at OKM, so it’s not surprising.

The shirt at issue (it’s an Osprey, not an eagle, because they are the Ospreys): https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1BgoKG33jn/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Oh crap, I think I have a red NCSA shirt with an eagle on it

We swim against LHP every summer in “B” meets. They often host the area IM meet towards the end of the summer so they have experience with a larger meet. However, LHP does not have the parking. Their lot is small. There is an elementary school next door, but it is not a huge lot.

Bryant High School (one of the alternative FCPS high schools) is a little more than 1/2 a mile away so that might be an option for parking.

They did not wear MAGA shirts. Please stop with the lies.

Who cares if they did? I like my MAGA shirt and proud of it!

Hamlet did an excellent job hosting…..

Maybe Poplar Heights?

Kent Gardens is an interesting idea if they could use the McLean Little League grounds and it is a yards pool which would make things interesting from a records stand point! I like this idea!!!

Kent gardens does not have the space to host ASR. They pool deck and parking lot is very small.

Make tuckahoe do it. Their parking lot is huge and people can park in he neighborhood across the street.

If no one steps us, it's cancelled! Yay!

One option is maybe having top 12 instead of 18. Maybe the number of reduced entrants/participants might make it logistically easier for someone to host.

Most pools are sending a couple of teams at most. The D1 teams that send the most teams don't have the space. I don't think our board would even entertain closing for a day in order to host other pools and I know our volunteers would balk given that we usually only send two or three teams

Where are you putting all of the team tents?

KG could put the tents at MLL; people can park in the neighborhoods off of Westmoreland. It is perfect

In the parking lot.

Either KG or Tuckahoe could easily host.

KG is a yard pool and got a tiny deck. Hard no. I vote for Tuckahoe or Chesterbrook.

Greenbrier was great for divisionals last summer

It’s actually in the rules that it can’t be a yards pool. Even if it weren’t, I wouldn’t want that! One set of team records is enough.
