Tiny or odd things that make your morning better

A nice peristaltic contraction.

Agree very much on doing everything possible the night before.

Music- things that make you feel good

We walk to school, so a little outside time is already built in. Youngest is walking without me most of the time now, so I make sure to get out for a few minutes on my own. It’s usually not the only time I spend outside, but just those few minutes of fresh air, trees, birds, sky etc help me feel more positive about my day

I do all of this before bed too.

a few minutes of mobility right after I get out of bed. Downward dog, cobra, child's pose.

I already get everything ready the night before.

When the dog doesn't vomit and the rabbits don't completely destroy their mini carpets (disposable, but still) during the night... it makes my mornings immeasurably better!

When I wake up 10 minutes before the alarm clock, and have the luxury of just snuggling my face into my pillow for a bit.

I set up coffee, prep clothes, lunch etc most of the time too and it makes a difference. For the actual morning, I want to sit in my comfy chair with my two pugs in my lap and coffee on the side table while I do wordle and some other puzzles. Then I can greet the day.

The night before, I look at the family calendar and set alarms for everything. Sometimes my alarms are very detailed, like 11:30 eat lunch before doctor's appt.

I set alarms to back into everything so I don't have to think about it throughout the day.

I also constantly purge clothes for the family. We function much better with fewer items that we actually wear. It's stressful to me to look at a closet full of stuff that I won't wear and have to weed through to find what I like. I buy fewer, nicer things and rarely shop.

I am a SAHM so just do most of this the morning of. I’m not a night person, so I usually just load the dishwasher dishes and put away leftovers after dinner but do the handwashing in the morning. Most people don’t like it this way, but I much prefer it to standing there handwashing pots at night.

Naming alarms is life changing.

Making my kid use an alarm clock so I’m not responsible for getting her up.
The other stuff in your OP I was already doing.
I’ve also found getting up 5 mins earlier than I think I need to makes the morning seem better. Like I gave myself a head start or something, seems silly at times but I just feel more productive with 5 extra minutes.

Honestly, I don’t care if the coffee is from today or yesterday as long as it’s there. If coffee is made when I wake up, it’s a good day.

Days when all the cars around me are all driving a nice speed and we’re getting where we have to go and there’s no rain. I love it!
