Oh man, I'm so middle class that secondhand Patagonia is a major great find.
Fur coats are for REAL cold weather. Like in Siberia. I'm not joking, synthetics won't keep you as warm, everyone owns fur there. But it's unnecessary in the DMV. |

Petroleum based fibers are killing entire species sooo… |
I don’t think you understood my post. |
No, I would rather not freezing my butt on Kilimanjaro. |
And, also whether the invitations were engraved or just printed. |

I just fixed your link so I could see the coat. I own one of those coats and it has been a game changer. When I walk my dog when it's cold, this is my go to coat. |
No, prefer a puffer. |
| No. Moncler puffers are tacky because of the showmanship. Patagonia is a good brand that does good by the earth and its people, so not tacky. |
I honestly cannot tell if this, or the post it’s replying to, is being sarcastic. |

In my upper middle class, highly educated, east coast suburb, Patagonia puffer jackets are the default outdoor jackets for everyday activity. The idea that someone would find them... tacky... is just ludicrous.
By the way, I remember when fur coats were considered so elegant and tasteful. My mother still has her mother's full length mink coat from 1960. Which is now worth less than what my grandfather paid for it. But they are amazingly warm, according to my mother. I understand why people don't wear fur any more but I do remember my grandmothers and all their friends looking so elegant in their fur coats. |
| I think fur is going to come back now because it’s more eco friendly. |
| OP here. I have been wearing my new puffer. It so SO WARM!! |
