Snow day cooking/baking ideas?

I just bought the ingredients to make Ina Garten's Tuscan Bean Soup (which I've made previously on non-snow days, but it's delicious). Might do beer bread too based on PP's suggestion!

Definitely making a soup today. I don't follow recipes but will include sausage, white or lentil beans, and barley or farrow, plus a ton of vegetables/garlic/onion.

I like traditions like this but brownies on snow days only would be too rare. I'd do something super special and rare like crepes suzette or tiramisu (chocolate/caramel because we don't like espresso)

Oh ok well we do brownies

Same! We have a ski house and I only make brownies there. Makes it more special and a tradition.

Last night, we did tacos and margs because it was just DH and I. Today, we’re cohosts of a co-ed baby shower so we’re making buffalo wings for 30 people among other things. Tomorrow, we’ll do elk chili for the first time. Also, a pineapple upside down cake because I got a pineapple in the White Elephant.

Making lentil chili in the crock pot. Haven’t decided what to attempt to bake yet.

Do you have a favorite swedish pancake recipe? Haven't had those since my youth!

That sounds really interesting. I'm always looking for new vegetarian recipes. Can you report back on the source and if it turns out good?

Also, set up a taco bar as we'll be running in and out of the snow.
