| So much of years past caused people to die of heart attacks, diabetes, high blood pressure. Americas portions were out of control. |
| You sound exhausting OP, or perhaps jealous that others are joining you in not eating? Anyway, don’t make as much food. |
|
Why can’t people understand that everyone feels differently on the medicine? I can barely finish a quarter of a normal meal and others may not have a problem eating more.
OP - not surprised at the unfinished food. That has been my reality. |
| No. Are all of your friends and family fat? |
| Ugh. You sound like an alcoholic who gets angry and bitter when their friends or family choose sobriety. |
+1 You sound judgmental and self-centered (way to make their life choices all about you.) That said, if you don’t respect their choices and you no longer enjoy their company, do yourself (and everyone else) the favor of moving on. Start by seeing them less often and speaking less frequently. My guess is you’ll all be much better off! |
Not OP and people on the shot didn’t “ruin my holiday” by not consuming what they used to, but they can absolutely be a drag. I’m sick of hearing about how bad food tastes and how over-buttered something is or judgements about what people w/o meds are eating and drinking. Everyone should just do their thing and shut up about it. Too buttery/tastes off? The problem is you - keep it to yourself. Let the rest of us who still enjoy food, enjoy it! |
This is a you problem actually. Never has anyone's opinion of food affected my love for something I particularly love to eat. There are plenty of foods my spouse finds disgusting and his opinion does not detract from my enjoyment of it ever. |
OMG this. Two thirds of adult Americans are overweight and 40% are obese. OP, you're on the wrong side of this argument. I've never taken semaglutide in my life and don't plan to. No relatives or friends of mine take it either. But none of us measure party success with food and alcohol consumption. |
Yeah, it doesn’t ruin my enjoyment of the food, but it makes for unenjoyable company. Your spouse sounds like a drag too. |

Sounds like people eat and feel the way people reportedly did after bariatrics surgery. Low volume, low sugar and fat, nausea, etc.

| I skipped my dose this week and enjoyed myself. Not sorry. |
| I can still eat a lot on meds, and drink wine. |
| I haven’t met anyone who has openly stated they are on this medicine, or even hinted it. Of course I have a few people I suspect. But even those people have not made comments about food they cannot eat. |
6'1", 190 lbs is in no way a string bean. |
