You're right....it's the mid to late 30's guys that are hitting on us.

They want the MILFs lol. I don't blame them though.

I agree! I'm 42 and a week ago at a Christmas party i was hit on by a 30-ish guy. I was pretty glammed up which I'm sure was part of it.

I get strong signals from a mid-40s single colleague. This person knows I’m married. I’m baffled why he doesn’t just find someone else who is available.

This is a thing. It's about them, not about you.

Women have a huge advantage over men as they age. By the time they are 40 many women have developed a good skin care routine, don't overeat, consume alcohol in moderation and exercise. So it's not a surprise that a lot of women in their 40s look great. I am 45 and divorced and I will be very happy when I start dating again in a year or so if I meet a woman in her 40s. But the women in their 40s are not going for men in their 40s especially if they have kids. Those of us in our 40s seem to be on their black list lol. But I get it though if they are divorced the probably left men in their 40s and have preconceived notions about men in this age group. If they are single and want kids, the women in their 40s will likely prefer someone younger and with no kids.

So I am not surprised the 30 years old was hitting on you.

In our group, the only "hitting on" was by the 45-ish yo married women hitting on the 18-20 year old sons of their friends, like a bunch of latter day Mrs. Robinsons (from the movie The Graduate, for you youngsters). Wild stuff at some Christmas parties.

I don't believe it and I say this as a man. Sometimes women are uncomfortable when a 30 years old but at them when they are in their 40s. I just can't imagine a 40+ woman hitting on a 18-20 years old man. Now we men will do it though. We just care that they are of legal age. Many of us don't have that "common sense" that we are dealing with barely legal kids. I have seen so many men openly flirting and gazing at 20 years old girls. It's crazy. Personally I can't. I am 47 and 30 is my absolute minimum. And even 30 that's pushing the envelope

Of course they hit on attractive married women. Most men would never tell a difference between a good looking 45 yo and 38-39 yo woman. I’ve proven it by experience. It’s all social conditioning about dating younger. 30s women are not interested in married dads of several kids. They want own babies with free men. Most cheating happens between married people

Men will hit on anything that moves.

But, alas, it happens and has happened. I witnessed it twice -- different women/boys.

OP here, sad to hear this is widespread but relieved it wasn’t in my head. So far I’ve shut everything down and they haven’t tried again.

Yes, this is a thing. At this age a lot of these guys’ marriages have become sexless or near sexless and and they are testing the waters to see where they might find some no-strings fun. A same-age married colleague feels “safer” and more convenient than somebody they’d find on an app.

Define making a pass - what did these men say or do?

Their wives don’t want to have (enough) sex with them anymore. The stray cat roaming the neighborhood is probably looking good now too.

This! The men in their late 40s-50s are trying to get their last good years of sex before ED sets in and their spouses now have reproductive years behind them, are in perimenopause, and kind of over it.
