| Can’t believe no one has mentioned Gloria!! Are you all too young? |
| I stopped watching after second episode. I wasn’t feeling it. Couple days ago I went back and gave it another try and glad I did. I enjoyed it and look forward to the next season. |
| Loved it! |
| I thought it was easy watching, not as good as the Good Place, and much more bittersweet at the end. |
| I thought it was hilarious and sweet. It’s from the Good Place creator and there are multiple Easter Eggs in the show. |
| We binged it over 2 days while sick with the flu. I really loved it - I genuinely teared up a few times (my parents are older so the aging things and parent/child things really hit me). Can't wait for season 2. |
+1 No where near the brainy philosophical depth of content as the Good Place but it was still worthy content that deals with a sensitive subject with humor - interesting the other GP devil showed up as the arrogant son of wealthy old lady in the senior living home . |
I definitely recognized her! |
If you have not already read Michael Schur's book How to be Perfect, you would like it! |
| San Francisco has never looked so beautiful. |
|
I watched it within in one night
the show creator absolutely has actors he loves working with who obviously like working with him as well I loved when Janet showed up
And I just figured out why the husband looked familiar ;P I could probably watch Ted Danson read a phone book. I just love him! |
| We enjoyed it and can't wait for the next season. So many guests from The Good Place - lots of fun |
What a great tip. I just looked it up and will definitely get a copy or the audio Overview “How to Be Perfect: The Correct Answer to Every Moral Question is a 2022 non-fiction book by American television producer and author Michael Schur. The book provides an introduction to many philosophical arguments on the concept of ethics, told largely in layman's terms and in a humorous tone.i” I have a masters degree in philosophy but get frustrated with philosophical arguments that can rely on overly reductive logic, and be taken to impractical extremes. Also, usually not draped on senses of irony. That is a big part of why I loved The Good Place so much - it was brilliant, funny and profound. I need to rewatch it. And this book sounds great. Thanks for the rec |
| I also loved it. Had my annual chat with old college friends over the holidays and many of us are dealing with aging parents right now and we all agreed on this show. |
Yeah, this is kinda what I did. I likednit at first, but I slowly watched it when I needed something light. I really enjoyed it! |
