Democrat vs Republican

I would tell you to FOADIAF if you were my mother.

Thankfully, politics are a very minimal part of our lives. I don’t care who votes for in November. He would not care who I vote for either.
Some of you sound like you have the mentality of toddler.

disillusioned with the party for a host of reasons. I’m voting for Trump, and while DH is slightly leaning Harris, I’ve been wearing him down from where he was, which was strongly pro-Dem until recently.

It helps that DH is less political than I am, so he doesn’t feel as strongly on the issues. I couldn’t get along with someone on the opposite end of the spectrum who lives and breathes politics the way I do.

Fascinating. I hope you don’t get deported. Vance made it clear last night he doesn’t care if you’re legal.

I'm the moderate RINO. I think this type of attitude is just as destructive as the MAGA/Freedom Caucus attitude. There are plenty of caring and ethical people that are Republican. Just not the MAGA or Freedom Caucus ones. I think that John McCain, Colin Powell, Ann Richards, Ronald Regan, and many more were and are caring and ethical people. Most of the caring and ethical republicans have been chased out of the party.

There are also quite a few registered Democrats that are NOT caring and ethical people. I don't think that Bob Menendez, Catherine Pugh (former Baltimore mayor), Jack Johnson (former PG County Executive), Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, and many others are unethical and/or uncaring Democrats.

While there are more Republicans that fit your description, there are no shortage of Democrats that also fit the bill. So, while good people have a moral high ground, neither of our political parties really do.

DP. It’s not destructive because that party you describe is dead. The GOP is the Trumpian party, which has admitted it doesn’t care about facts (scientific or not), openly stated it lies to further its mission, and throws a hissy-fit when its subject to fact checking.

Any elementary classroom in America would agree this behavior is wrong.

Any philosophy class would argue that anyone of these fall into a morally gray area.

I don’t believe a word of this post. This is a troll.

We were both Rs when we married and then I flipped to D in the early 2000s. DH followed a couple cycles later. His parents flipped from R to D because of Trump. Mine and one sibling are solidly Trump because of their “Christian values”. Smh

PP here. People like you are one reason I’m done with Dems. The unmitigated gall of some of you to believe that no one who you consider your “base” could possibly disagree with you makes me want to slap someone.

Ah,
The typical Democratic voter. Threatening violence against people who don’t agree with them.

Thank you for sharing!

PP here. I’m sure you’re up all night worrying about me. Focus on how many of your friends (perhaps even you) feeding at the government trough as federal employees or misappropriating election funds for Democrats are going to end up broke.

So he plans to get his in-laws out too? Yep, he only married for political benefit.

I’m with pp. I think that post is fiction — but not because I don’t think it could possibly be true. Something about the way it’s written is trying too hard.
