Those of you up in arms about not checking their orders before they leave…why doesn’t the restaurant just get it right?

Time to learn how to cook. I had the same issue with Amazon and eBay orders. I cut down significantly and problem resolved.
They would send a wrong item, and extra item, or a broken item. My time trying to fix it all was more important that the stuff I ordered. I love that I now order only 25% of what I used to order.

+1
Why is the onus perpetually on the customer? Either the restaurant can double check or they can offer some kind of refund/fix the meal by delivering it so it's right. Period.

Dumb humans make this type of mistake.

Why not give this same kind of grace to the customers, Einstein?

And keep an epipen nearby.

I find this post really funny and pathetic at the same time. I order take out regularly, up to a few times a week, as I work FT out of the home but I'm a single mom. The "we're busy too" comment is so full of judgement and assumptions. Goodie for you you have two of you to take care of the kids. You try to take care of kids and cook for them while working 60 hours a week 6-7 days.

Perhaps I was a bit harsh, but for some reason this got under my skin. There are literally a slew of ways out there for a family to eat relatively healthy with quick prepare meals. We do it 5 days a week and I understand the temptation to just order out. Yes we’re eating in the car a lot during the after work before practice time slot. But cmon…all my takeout orders are wrong and I don’t know what to do?

Sorry but I am not allergic to anything. I advise those that are allergic and require unique food accommodations not to go to a take out place. I would not place that type of health into the hands of strangers. If I was allergic to dogs, I would not go into a petsmart.

We call the restaurant and they usually give us a refund. One time, a local sushi place had one of their employees bring the correct item to us!

Dumb humans make this type of mistake.

Or arrogant humans who think they don’t make mistakes.

We never order take out, as I think itnis gross. It's far more civilized to dine in a restaurant or to have food prepared in the home.

If you had picked a better partner, you too could have been a stay at home spouse, dining out or having meals prepared for you by a personal chef. Life is all about choices, dear.

It is a HUGE waste of money. Honestly I work too hard to give my money to gross restaurants that do not prepare great food I could make just as well. If these restaurants gave me the wrong order? Forget it. This motivates me to cook every night even though I hate it.
