Me too.

I’d insist on also adding garlic at least 3-4x a week though.

So now the kids are high school and college-age, I cook my own food. I've lost all the extra weight I wanted to lose for years and I eat FAR healthier.

Yaaaaaaassssss!!

My husband over the years has developed a pretty intense intolerance to tomatoes (heartburn) so I have had to rethink a lot of the cooking I do. I often adjust or make two versions. But if it was just preference and not a medical issue, I don't know if I would be so accommodating.

What if he does realize it and is doing so passive aggressively?

I may need to step up the inclusion of olives or pickles into my husband's food.

I've done similar when I was at my worst. I wouldn't do it now. But I didn't washed the cast iron pan real well after cooking meat ... vegetarians in the household would be VERY upset. Passive aggressive?

But every single dish he makes for dinner has some form of tomato in it — chopped, whole, peeled, cherry, heirloom, tomato sauce, tomato paste, tomato… you name it. Everything. Every time. He can’t imagine food without tomatoes. I would give my right arm to eat something that isn’t red.

My dad really hit the jackpot lol. He never cooked a single minute of his entire life. Those ol good days for us men are gone now 😢

Eh, I like to cook. It’s a basic life skill and gives you more control over what you eat.

My petty gripe is that my DH believes Kramer the stock guy is must-see TV. I loathe the sound of that man's voice.
