Anyone else have absurdly fat arms in comparison to body?

Me too. I am 40 lbs overweight but have a seriously flat butt. It's actually annoying because anything with elastic rides up - underwear, bathing suits, the linings of athletic shorts. It's the one area of my body I'd like to be a little rounder!

Omg. The flat butt. So many squats and thrusts and RDLs…and still a pancake…

So I have this issue as well. To some extent I have just accepted my flat butt. It does make certain clothes easier to wear at least. And just in general it's easier to find pants that fit my waistline well.

But I've also found that I get a bit more shape and roundness if I add a lot more weight to my lower body work with dumbells. I think it's too easy to compensate with the glute machine. But doing squats with a 20 lb weight in each hand or doing hip thrusts with a 40 lb weight on my hips actually does add bulk in my derrier.

I spend more time trying to find flattering cuts for tops.

This is me, too. My paternal aunts have the same arm situation. I try not to focus on them because there is little I can do to change them. I am already at the low end of bmi and would have to lose 10+ lbs to make a difference. I keep them as toned as I can and wear flattering cuts. I'm looking forward to sweater weather.

Then you'd be too thin in other areas.

I had the flat butt until I started doing a lot of climb rides on the Peloton. Nothing else worked (I also gained more muscle in my legs and between the butt and legs had to go up a size in some styles of pants, so there's that).

My arms are fairly big, but solid muscle. To develop and maintain this muscle, I do absolutely nothing - it's just the way I'm built. I've always been envious of my sister's willowy arms, but it's just not possible for me. Everyone has a body part they don't like.

I went in for a lipo consult and they actually warned against it - said my body would just redistribute fat to my arms and I'd have to redo the lipo in a few years to maintain it. Like others above, I just focus on finding clothes that hide it (3/4 or elbow-length tops).

This is my fear. Every woman on my mom’s side has the same giant arm thing going on. It is completely disproportionate and I HATE it. I just want to be able to wear a sleeveless top.

You can wear sleeveless tops however your arms look. You just have to get over feeling self conscious. No one cares how your arms look but you.

Same here but my mom is built the same and also has bat wings. The only thing that helps a bit is being tan. I think about having that surgery but I have to wait until my kid graduates from college. I don't have the money now. I had breast reduction surgery and it was the best decision ever. Thankfully, insurance paid for that.

My arms are like this. I just keep them covered.

Can anyone recommend short sleeved shirts but not with short, tight cap sleeves? I feel like most hit me at the widest part of my arms. Not a good look. I have plenty of 3/4 length but I’d like something that hits just above the elbow and isn’t tight.
