Would you buy a house with a State Trooper living next door w/ squad car parked out front every day?

Yes, that would be my dream actually.

We have a sheriffs car 2 houses down.
It’s totally fine.
Wouldn’t give it a 2nd thought.

Good answer, agree.

That sounds wonderful. I’d be delighted! It would encourage me to buy

Yes.

I'm friends with a concert pianist. He sold his house to a scummy personal injury attorney. All of the immediate neighbors were angry.

Why the no for lower crime area?

They don’t usually take their work car home with them. I love when my neighbor does though! Slows down our street racers. Plus I figure it’s a good deterrent. It’s pretty rare though only after a late shift.

All my interactions with state troopers have been very professional. They were on the side of the road, of course, and in my younger days.

My brother lives a couple houses from a sheriff's deputy and it's fine.

The the smallminded bigots presupposing such a neighbor would be racist are the ones I'd not want to live near.

I live in DC and have a cop for a neighbor and I love it. He is friendly, quiet, minds his business, I mind mine.

I'd say most are boozehounds, if anything. It's just a job. They do 20 years and cash out that pension.

I have a take home car with US government plates and it’s never crossed my mind that someone would take issue with it.
