National Intelligence Director Haines confirmed this last week.

I'll be sure to tell my friend who was at the protest that she should keep an eye out for a check in the mail from Iran. I know she'll be super-excited to hear this, although to be fair, she's still waiting for her check from George Soros for participating in the Women's March in January 2017, and that might temper her excitement.

I'm all for the freedom to protest.

But the destruction and defacement are unconscionable.

Can’t wait for Netanyahu to leave town to share “fellate mignon” with Trump at Mar-a-Lago.

I am completely against the J6 riots at the capitol. Authorities should treat these Hamas protestors the same way. Burning the flag, spray painting Hamas on our national monuments. I seriously can't believe what is allowed by some and not others. One standard, people.

Go away. We cannot let vandals destroy our country. Protest. Fine. But don't destroy public property. Throw these vandals in jail. Put it on their record. Make it so they can't get jobs.

When she participated in the women's march did she or others destroy monuments, burn flags, sit in protest in the capitol? Seriously, those of you who condone this are cherry picking facts. Whatever is convenient for you to believe allow you to turn a blind eye to what is clearly wrong. Such hypocrites.

All the people outraged over the Jan 6th protests (rightly) can look the other way about these destructive protests because it suits their narrative.

On January 6, 2021, people broke into the Capitol, tried to stop the certification of the presidential election, violently assaulted police officers, and built a gallows to hang the vice president on.

On July 24, 2024, people protesting Netanyahu's speech spray-painted on statues and (taking your word for it) burned the American flag.

No, they're not the same.

We should all be understanding and supportive of the protestors.

100% this. I am fine with 1st Amendment expression, even when it's noxious. But vandalism, assault, and general mayhem are not 1A-protected. Arrests are in order.

AGREED. I cheered when the J6 protesters were arrested, and I will cheer when this bunch of violent arseholes are. They are repulsing more people than they are convincing of anything. I hope they get the book thrown at them.

.

Police officers were also assaulted yesterday. Convenient amnesia? The graffiti said “Hamas is coming”, which is akin to a death threat.

Hard to deny these are Hamas supporters when they make pro Hamas graffiti

Burning an American flag isn't illegal.

They vandalized the building I work in at the previous large protest. Still not particularly worried about this week.

Burning someone else’s American flag is illegal

And yet, they are both crimes.
