Cosco cakes are wonderful but they tend to be large and, at $200, I don't think this is inexpensive. Giant also has good cakes. How many people at the christening because Whole Foods has delicious cakes that run around $30.99 to $35.00 for average-size cake.

I think I should hang it up because Cosco cake was $100.00 but the best chocolate cake I have ever tasted.

We should organize a big DCUM cake tasting party. This topic comes up fairly often. Maybe we could get all the stores to contribute cakes in hopes of generating future sales.

I vote Costco and Safeway. The best (tasting, not designed) wedding cake I've ever had came from Safeway of all places.

I love Safeway cakes.

Is there any way to order a costco cake in advance so it can be customized for a birthday party? I've never bought a costco cake before and want to for my son's party this weekend, but when I tried calling the store directly there was no extension number to connect to for the bakery. If I go the day of, can they just decorate the cake on the spot? I know they can write a name quickly but can they do other decorations? Thanks!

Their Louisiana Crunch Cake is so freaking good. If I'm going to a party or something I need to bring dessert to when I don't feel like/have time to bake, it's what I bring.

But if we're talking birthday's, all of our cakes come from Giant. Really good, and you can't beat the price.

I like Giant/Safeway- vanilla cake/vanilla icing.
Have not tried the other places.

No real good answer but just two thumbs down on giant. I used to work kids' birthday parties and the parents would offer me cake ... The giant ones were terrible.

So first world.
You must enter the store and complete a sheet at the bakery booth.

Costco cake is dry and tough. Wegmans is the better option.
