| IMO, term limits will cause more problems. It will create more instability with the partisan and ideological tilts for SCOTUS. How long would the term limit be? 20 years? 30 years? |
Wow you’re such unifier with that gleeful disdain for your fellow citizens. |
I mean, yeah, I would hope so. I'm not interested in any of the justices staying on the court until they die. A phased expansion to 13 seats and no more nomination jockeying/nominations based on seniority would go a long way to re-establishing trust. |
The court has never at any point in our lifetimes been far left. Not in the last 10 years. Making up facts and a fictional history to bend to your imagined grievances needs to stop. |
I don't know that we need term limits but I think it should just bet set that it needs to be 3 dems, 3 Republicans and one independent. Kind of like how the FEC commission works. "By law, no more than three Commissioners can represent the same political party, and at least four votes are required for any official Commission action. This structure was created to encourage nonpartisan decisions" |
Thoughts and prayers! It’s never the right time for cons. |
He’s believed in the institution. But now it’s apparent that the Roberts court is fully captive to special interests (one can’t say “fascist” around Republicans because it makes them twitchy, so I’ll just say “broadly un-American”) and is acting recklessly. Anyone who’s not a cult magaist knows that’s so. |

I have no opinion on the Supreme Court, but for Dear Lord's sakes, I need this President to retire already!!! Thank you, Joe Biden, you've put in decades of work for the American Public. A grateful nation bids you adieu. If you don't go now, Trump will be President. I'm beginning to think that Biden would prefer losing to Trump than stepping aside for a younger Democrat. |

Yes, we would be so upset if the justices had to abide by minimal standards of ethics. We would be crying all day long about that. You guys should do that to make us cry. |
|
| Biden wants term limits for the SC court really. He has been a useless politician for 32 years. Start with him first. Dems want to change the constitution because they don’t like some rulings what a bunch of cry babies. |
The constitution is fine. We would like justices that adhere to it, and the consistent constitutional and non political jurisprudence they testified under oath to abide. We’d also like them to stop taking bribes. |
It never will be the right time for progressives. In that this is never going to happen. |
This. 100%. |
