This is a sign. Umd will be losing it's public ivy status if this is the kind of nonsense it stands for. What a joke!

UMd has public ivy status? LOL!

I know… Back in your time anyone could get in but things have changed.

I actually don't think this is DEI box checking. I think it is class solidarity. UMC people protect each other, and Dr. McKnight is one of them now.

Wait, so the historical Ivies aren't so anymore? 🤔 While I do agree some on this new list should be considered/added, I don't think you can just disqualify the others which continue to be premiere institutions.

In other words, she learned nothing?

No, the action plan was strong and dealt with the issues head on. It was such a masterclass in crisis management that it will go down in history!

This is obviously an unnecessary position created for McKnight and paid for with student tuition and tax dollars. SMH.

It's payola. Let's see if McKnight shows gratitude to Shebra Evans, who ran up our bill to $1.3 million, by using whatever influence capital McKnight has left, to get Evans a job when Evans loses to Stewart this fall.

It's become harder to get in because the cost of private colleges and universities has skyrocketed, pushing more people to public institutions. That doesn't mean the quality of education at UMD has improved.

Seriously? You thought she would be unemployed for the rest of her life?

Preferably. She’s a millionaire. On our backs. She’s a menace to public education.

If that were the case, umd would be creating thousands of bs jobs for alumni. But they don't. This is racial
