If you are still here, can you explain? I'm switching to a practice that some people talked about on reddit as having 3 doctors who are good for peri/meno. At the same time, a friend who goes there said a nurse practitioner blew her off when she talked about her symptoms.

My sleep is wrecked and I'm dealing with a bunch of physical symptoms. I will probably burst into tears if someone doesn't take this seriously, so I'm trying to prepare for the next step just in case.

And HRT isn't covered by insurance? How much are people paying for it? I'm scared!

The Midi site lists the insurance they take, most PPOs. My insurance covers the appointment with a copay and the prescriptions.

Yep, I use midi. The NP I see has been good. I got shifted to a different one and didn’t care for her at all and shortly thereafter revived notice that she was no longer with midi so I get to go back to my OG. I have a few other health complications and feel happy with their care so far. I spend MUCH longer taking to her than to my usual GYN (who does know what I’m taking and is fine with it). Worked on dosage and types of meds. Unless you have some pretty major health issues, I would highly recommend. Insurance coverage with CareFirst has been great. I ended up using a progesterone birth control rather than bio identical and she wrote the RX as for BC so it’s fully covered.
I am feeling some hot flushes re-emerging after more than a year on same dose so may have to alter a bit, but honestly waiting for the temps here to cool down a bit so I’m sure that’s what it is versus just being hot!!!!!!

+1 for Jennifer Lanoff at Reiter Hill. She is phenomenal. Takes my insurance (CareFirst/BCBS--which also covers my HRT.)

I just heard that Jennifer Lanoff is leaving Reiter & Hill. Anyone know where she's going? I'd follow her. She's excellent

I'm seeing a specialist in a couple of weeks. I found her through The Menopause Society. I really don't know what she can do for me at this point. I'm 55 already. But I'll see.

If you go to her instagram she has a link to get updates on her next practice and says she’ll start seeing patients in mid-August
