Toxic shock syndrome could be a factor. Or for some > wearing a tampon may not be comfortable. 🤷🏻♀️ |
Vestibulitis, vulvodynia sufferers have trouble with tampons or cups. |
| It's not healthy to use tampons 100% of the time. Pads don't smell if you change them often. |
| I tried wings when they first came out. Maybe they’ve improved them since then, but those early ones seemed to direct the liquid away from the center to the edges and increase the potential for disaster. I swore never again and have avoided them ever since. |
| I always wondered what women spent all day doing while guys were building bridges & talking about football. Now I know. |
You sound like an educated medical professional. |
| I think side sleepers need wings. Otherwise there’s a mess over the edge of the pad. |
Agree. Gross and smelly. |
I don't get why people can't read what they wrote before hitting the submit button. If your pads smell bad you should probably see a doctor for that! That is SO gross!!! |
Also people with endo and can't wear tampons without more pain. |
| Pads with wings are amazing and catch leaks very well! You are supposed to change your pad every 3-4 hours so there is no smell. It's pretty shocking to read this many people saying theirs smells. You all need to go to the gyno or change your pads more often. NASTY! |
| PPs who wear pads - do you wear tampons too, or just pads? |
+1. And are you religious? I'd add that as another question. I haven't worn a pad since middle school but know a few Catholic moms of 5+ that won't go near a tampon or cup. Weird to me, but whatever I guess. Stay poolside with the diaper. |
Drop a warning, PP. Wasn’t expecting this classic on a thread about pads and I just snorted a ton of water out my nose! |
I always thought the women who shame other women for their choice of sanitary products were so bizarre. |
