Do women ever look better after 40?

I personally think I looked my best at 30 and 40. I looked pretty good when I got married and before I had kids. Then I had 3 kids ages 30-38. After I had my third child, I worked out, ate well and lost all my baby weight and weighed the same as at age 30 before kids. Now I’m feeling pretty old and not young anymore at 46. I believe age 43 is the age that you stop feeling young. It is probably when your fertility also takes a cliff dive so when you can no longer reproduce, you also begin to look less attractive.

Do women ever look MORE attractive in their forties?

Some of my friends are beginning to do things to their face and I often think the fillers and Botox make their face look unnatural and definitely do not look better than when they were younger and has a more natural youthful face.

Some look more handsome. The ones at peace with aging resonate inner beauty.

I don’t have wrinkles yet, and people think I’m in my 30’s. I’m sure I’ll go downhill soon, but it hasn’t happened yet and I’m really happy with how I look.

Lol you don't have wrinkles at 44

I'm 45 and have zero wrinkles. And I'm white. And have a flat stomach post 3 kids. Some of us are just blessed.

I dated a 42 year old woman who had a ton of wrinkles around her eyes. It really looked bad.

It certainly sounds like you’re blessed.
Most white women in their late 30s already have wrinkles or crapey thin looking skin, especially if they’re thin!

I don’t have wrinkles but I’m also fat.

No, but if we are honest, neither do men.

+1 I am 46. No wrinkles. White. Sunscreen since 14. I stay out of the sun. 32-year-old men look the same age as me.

A woman tried to introduce me to her son this weekend because she thought we “were the same age” and I told her my age. and she was like: “oh, my son is 31.” She was surprised.

This is not a one-time incident. Happens all the time.

Then she has bad skin. I know early 30s women who have that.

Yes,
I have seen few mothers and adult daughters together where the mother is much more attractive and can pass for sisters.
But, in general the kind of attractiveness for older women evolves into grace and self confidence.

I ate horribly in my 20s and had acne so I actually look better now

I’m not saying women can’t look good into their fifties but do they ever look better after 40 than when they were younger in their twenties or thirties. No one looks better as an older lady.

Honestly I look better at 50 than I did at 20. I'm not thinner than I was at that age - 10 pounds heavier - but I have much better hair and clothes now. And also I'm just a whole lot more comfortable with myself. I exercise a lot and so still look pretty fit, I think.

It probably helps - helps? - that I was always "cute" and never the hottie 20 something. So I am apparently not facing that horrible, life-quaking decline that women who were hot young people go through in middle age.

I don't know. We'll see how this goes once menopause hits, I guess!

I think of someone was overweight and had a bad hair dye or crooked teeth etc. Obviously they can look better. But that’s because they didn’t look great to begin with. I would say it’s not the norm though.

I’ve said this before in utter threads but it depends on the person. And there’s an age when you are officially old looking despite looking good. I think it’s like 46-58?? For both men and women though!! Even Brad Pitt is no longer young or first choice for the young ones.
