Do women ever look better after 40?

Anonymous
Im now 46 and I don’t think anyone I know looks better now in their forties than when they were younger.

I personally think I looked my best at 30 and 40. I looked pretty good when I got married and before I had kids. Then I had 3 kids ages 30-38. After I had my third child, I worked out, ate well and lost all my baby weight and weighed the same as at age 30 before kids. Now I’m feeling pretty old and not young anymore at 46. I believe age 43 is the age that you stop feeling young. It is probably when your fertility also takes a cliff dive so when you can no longer reproduce, you also begin to look less attractive.

Do women ever look MORE attractive in their forties?

Some of my friends are beginning to do things to their face and I often think the fillers and Botox make their face look unnatural and definitely do not look better than when they were younger and has a more natural youthful face.

I met a black women recently who said she had adult children. I thought it would be rude to ask her exact age but she had at least one child who was 28.. I was thinking she must have been a teen mom or she looked AMAZING for being in her fifties.

Not majority but some do if they have more money and can use it to improve looks, physique and style but menopause ruins it in 10 years.

I’m not saying women can’t look good into their fifties but do they ever look better after 40 than when they were younger in their twenties or thirties. No one looks better as an older lady.

Shouldn't this be in Beauty forum?

Early to mid 40s was my peak. I looked very young in my 20s and was fashion clueless in my 30s as I was pumping out babies. In my 40s I got fit again and took a real interest in fashion and styling. I’m now 51 and the glory days are gone but compared to many my age I look pretty darn good. I can’t relate to a 35 year old but I’m happy.

I was thinking about dating options for my 46yo friend. She looks much older at 46 because she is older. She has a lot of wrinkle, may have put on 20 pounds since her thirties. I was thinking of my other friends who started messing with their faces and I don’t think anyone actually looks better now than when they were younger.

Womens physical attractiveness, as far as the opposite sex is concerned, peaks in your late teens/early twenties.

No woman, as far as the opposite sex is concerned, looks more attractive in their 40s unless there were serious issues before.

I believe attractiveness is linked to fertility. As a woman loses her fertility, she also is less attractive to the opposite sex.
