There's a bunch of sites that keep track of this sort of stuff.
Maxpreps.com comes to mind.
There are plenty of private and parochial schools across the country that stack their team by recruiting local talent and effectively consolidate most of the good local players for scouts.

Ultimately if you need to ask on an anonymous chat board, it probably isn't an issue for you. You would have other resources like coaches and training facilities.

How can several national merit scholars be a credential?
Rhodes scholars are graduate students.
And in what way would you need to be top 1% to get into UVA or VTech? Most are probably top 5% but I don't think you need to be top 1%.

Rhodes scholars are graduate students.

Jefferson scholarship, not Rhodes scholars.
