Why is this election any different?

The most consequential elections to the average person are the ones the average person doesn’t care at all about and will only participate in if they happen to be at the polling place to vote for president. Think your city council or local school board.

Can any of you explain why Kamala is so hated? I get that she was given some of the worst assignments in the administration, e.g. the border. In my opinion that one is not solvable without legislation but Trump killed that.

From my standpoint, even if the worst happens, Kamala is going to have a decent set of competent people around her running the agencies and in the cabinet. I also think she is way smarter than anyone is giving her credit for. She was AG of California. She was a Senator. Personally, I think much of the criticism stems from misogyny.

On the other hand, I am scared of who Trump will have around him. Steven Miller, Steve Bannon, Seb Gorka, Roger Stone, as well as Trump sycophants whose only qualification is that they believe the 2020 election was stolen.

I believe part of why she’s hated is what’s called “misogynoir.” She is both Black and a woman. There also seemed to be a concerted campaign against her, like a mini version of that which was done to Hillary.

She was elected in California. Have you taken note of other elected "leaders" in California? Schiff, Waters, Pelosi....

It is my opinion that had Harris run in most any other state for these positions, she would have never won.

Because it feels like in Russia where everyone is in love with Putin despite the state of despair their country in. Here, our media tells us that the Biden is going to lead all the polls soon (just like Putin), the economy is booming, the inflation is down. The votes seeing totally different picture in their different lives, but who cares, because, like in Russia, it does not matter who votes, it only matter who counts the votes.
