| We’re at Oberlin, a 1/2 hour west of Cleveland to watch with our college kid. Completely clear sky and 60 degrees. Given that it snows here in April, I am shocked how perfect the day is. |

| Five minutes to the start of the partial eclipse and no moon in sight. Does the moon just pop up out of nowhere? Where is the moon? |

By definition, the moon is in between the earth and the sun during a solar eclipse. That means the dark side of the moon is facing the earth (aka a new moon). You would never see it normally because there is not enough light reflecting off it to see it. The only reason you will be able to see it during the eclipse is because it will be directly blocking the sun. |

Yes! I grew up in its usually dismal springs. I live in Maryland now, but came back to Cleveland for the eclipse. I’m so happy the weather forecasts were off base, calling for way more clouds than we had. |

I was in VT too. A few towns east of Burlington. We had some high thin clouds that I think added to it. Maybe was more interesting than a totally clear sky. It was awesome. Hard to put into words. |
