Fisherman sandals are super in, and I love how they look with dresses. I like how these are substantial -- an outfit has a totally different feel with something heavier like this as opposed to something like those tan sandals with the flowers posted above. Almost like a Doc Marten sandal. More substantial, less delicate. I like the contrast of that with a dress, and this kind of styling works better with the chunkier jewelry that is coming into style.

The first two on this list made me gasp in horror. The rest aren't terrible. Also, I am now 55, and lived through the covid years where I suddenly stopped caring so much about shoes. The OP's post pre-covid would have had me shaking my head, but I thought, well, they're not really all that bad.

PP here. I'm going back and forth on the black and the neutral. I think I'm going to order the black and then if they are comfortable I'll order the other pair as well. You can't go wrong with a fisherman sandal this summer.
