This is exactly what I pictured when I saw the shoes. With knee-high "nylons" that have runs in them from longer-than-they-should-be toenails.

Oh dear lord that visual is just too accurate.

For the third year in a row, I’ll be going with Doc Martens. Probably the Voss sandals, and maybe a strap pier pair as well.

This is OP - my hairdresser wears those, and they look great. She says her feet feel good at the end of a long day, too.

I can only do ankle if the straps are thin
Otherwise it just truncates the leg...

Silver is super in.

I love these, but be careful, Aldo shoes tend to be uncomfortable. They need to fit really well to feel ok.

Only cute shoes posted yet.

It’s hard (impossible?) to find cute sandals with ankle straps, as the majority of posts confirm.

These are sooo over. This is a Sam Edelman dupe of whichever designer shoe it was like 5 seasons ago. People are wearing those awful Tory Burch slides that look like this as well.

What is attractive about these to you? Just curious.

Fisherman sandals are super in, and I love how they look with dresses. I like how these are substantial -- an outfit has a totally different feel with something heavier like this as opposed to something like those tan sandals with the flowers posted above. Almost like a Doc Marten sandal. More substantial, less delicate. I like the contrast of that with a dress, and this kind of styling works better with the chunkier jewelry that is coming into style.

Like these a lot - in the lighter neutral!

PP here. I'm going back and forth on the black and the neutral. I think I'm going to order the black and then if they are comfortable I'll order the other pair as well. You can't go wrong with a fisherman sandal this summer.

I bought these for a trip in Central America, and they are so comfortable I plan on wearing them all summer:

I've always liked the Docs posted upthread but have been hesitant to get them because I'm petite and have very small feet (5). Should I try them??

I guess I am officially old. My tendency is toward Clark's, in a myriad of colors. Comfortable and hopefully somewhat stylish (although I care more about comfort than style)
